Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst designs, implements and evaluates behavior intervention plans. Performs psychological/behavioral assessments for assigned patients. Being a Board Certified Behavior Analyst typically reports to the head of a unit/department. Provides ongoing training to clinical staff in the implementation of behavior programs. In addition, Board Certified Behavior Analyst requires a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field. May require certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Board Certified Behavior Analyst’s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position’s specialty is the main requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data using our cloud-based documentation and graphing program;
  • Provide direct care to children diagnosed with autism and other related disorders;
  • Conduct assessments, develop plans and supervise team members in carrying out those treatment plans;
  • Conduct parent support trainings;
  • Train, oversee, and monitor direct support professionals with respect to behavioral support and therapeutic interactions;
  • Consult on habilitation plan goal/objectives, as well as environmental supports;

  • Provide behavior support to individuals in their assigned program;
  • Mentor newly hired specialists/analysts.
