Project Controls Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Controls Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supports business planning activities including, regular updates to forecasts, accruals and cashflow management;
- Track PO’s;
- Tracks project performance using earned value management, make project plan adjustments where needed, and tracks change log;
- Assist with contract preparation and submission through legal compliance review;
- Work with PMs, Operations Manager and Project Accountants to keep project financials in order;
- Works with PMs and Contracts on Limitation of Cost;
- Understand the budget for each project and assist PMs with staying current on financial data relative to project;
- Coordinate with subcontractors by preparing agreements, change orders, and tracking budgets;
- Understand reporting needs of each Division and department interfacing with assigned projects;
- Review and understand the monthly revenue, gross profit and identify any variances;
- Support the Division Lead for any ad hoc reporting, budgeting, and forecasting;
- Interpret resource management reports and communicate results with Project Managers and Business Center Leaders;
- Gain proficient knowledge of the Oracle PM Dashboard and PM Framework to become a resource for PMs;
- Prepare monthly reporting for the assigned Division;
- Work proactively to maintain integrity of resource management data.
Requirements:
- A four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business related with;
- At least 3-10 years of experience in Cost Engineering;
- Knowledge of Ariba, Maximo, SAP, is a plus;
- Experience with Cognos Enterprise Reporting tool is a plus;
- Experience with Costpoint Cobra EVM tool is a plus.
