Our company is looking for a Scientist II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Present data, proposals, and progress in various forums and to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Troubleshoot error modes in a clinical laboratory setting;
  • Synthesize large datasets and extract relevant trends using NGS data analysis tools (Python, R, IGV, etc.);
  • Ensure all work is performed and documented in compliance with applicable regulatory and quality practices (CLIA/CAP, IVD (Design Control), ISO13485);
  • Explore, collect, and use relevant biological data (e.g., in-vitro, in-vivo/ex-vivo, and clinical data) for model calibration and validation;
  • Culture cell lines and process primary tissues from different species;
  • Work well in a highly matrixed environment and support multiple projects at the same time;
  • Design, execute, interpret and complete projects in a timely manner;
  • Utilize molecular techniques to aid in the understanding of drug candidate mode of action;
  • Prepare technical reports, publications and oral presentations;
  • Work with lab supervisor to identify and optimize new and innovative assays associated with cytometry based biomarker discovery;
  • Perform Next Generation Sequencing to identify predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers;
  • Works independently with the capability to troubleshoot experimental procedures;
  • Design and review of experiments of cell process optimization, scale up and cryopreservation, trouble shoot the problems;
  • Contribute and support scientific or engineering expertise toward the design and development of new process ideas that support client product concepts.

Requirements:

  • Experience with development of bioreactor protocols and scale up studies for mammalian cells or stem cells is highly desirable;
  • Experience with variety of cell culture systems and optimization of cell expansion and differentiation process.
