Senior Pricing Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:

- Create and adjust pricing tiers by product & Class of Trade based on market events, internally-driven strategy shifts, and bid responses;
- Insure cost models are compliant, accurate, reasonable, and realistic per solicitation requirements;
- Deal desk enablement through application of systematic discounting guidelines;
- Design, run and monitor price tests to evaluate new hypotheses and new strategic initiatives;
- Participate in pricing reviews, peer reviews and also supports internal audit and DCAA audits/reviews;
- Collaborate with other teams in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions;
- Competitive intelligence gathering and developing specific response strategies;
- Gather information on customer buying preferences and price sensitivity;
- Business rules enforcement and process improvement;
- Support the administration of contract proposals and provide cost analysis support;
- Support forecasting in analysis of impact on balance sheet and P&L statements;
- Communicate data analysis findings to leadership and other stakeholders;
- Work on complex problems / projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Requirements:
- Understanding of Cost Volume is strongly preferred;
- Experience utilizing SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets;
- You possess advanced skills using Excel;
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR);
- Extremely detail oriented;
- Maintain detailed pricing documentation files to serve as reference for future inquiries or audits;
- You are able to handle multiple, often conflicting, priorities under tight deadlines;
- Understanding and experience using all contract types, including Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time & Materials (T&M) contracts is required;
- Strong communication, organization and coordination skills, with the ability to effectively handle multiple complex issues simultaneously;
- Curious and able to respectfully challenge the status quo;
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
- Preferred experience in managing databases (Access, Sql/Oracle, and/or Excel) with programming experience, particularly in VBA, preferred;
- Knowledge in statistics and mathematical concepts (e.g: hypothesis testing, regression);
- Experience using Microsoft Suite Tools (including Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities; enterprising and resourceful, self-starter and team player.
