The Senior Sales Analyst researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect the organization’s ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace. Prepares sales forecasts and collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales goals. Being a Senior Sales Analyst recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends. Assists in the development of sales quotas and forecasts for the sales team. In addition, Senior Sales Analyst requires a bachelor’s degree. May report to an executive or a manager. Working as a Senior Sales Analyst typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with IT and other business analytics functions (e.g. Supply Chain, Product Portfolio Management) – as needed;
  • Keep abreast of external market factors, trends and research that may impact business decisions – as needed;
  • Create, run, and analyze reports to make data-based recommendations;
  • Maintain Salesforce for individual teams to ensure effective sales processes;
  • Present data analysis, conclusions, and ideas for next steps;
  • Align with other teams (marketing, product, finance, customer service) to establish and maintain cross-company processes;
  • Evaluate new and existing sales tools for effectiveness and improvements;
  • Establish processes, workflows, and reporting from lead generation through closed sale.

Requirements:

  • BBA in Accounting or Finance, MBA ++
  • 5 year of experience in progressive experience in Corporate or Sales Finance;
  • 4+ years of Financial Modeling in Exce;
  • Hiigh level of Business Acumen and Integrity;
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic;
  • Clear and concise written communicator;
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical Sales Data such as IMS;
  • Strong problem-solving toolkit with an ability to turn business problems into projects;
  • Familiarity with Apex coding approach, enough to examine code if needed;
  • Capacity to focus on large data sets and distill key facts over many hours of work;
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities; enterprising and resourceful, self-starter and team player;
  • Experience with standard Salesforce functionality such as workflows, metrics, reports and relevant sales processes they support;
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in an analytical role; ideally in sales or marketing;
  • Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail;
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, wholesaler, or consulting industry preferred.
