Our company is looking for a Senior Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to customers via phone and email, when necessary;
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with internal standards;
  • Support project planning;
  • Document results in technical reports and present data at team meetings;
  • Identify post-translational modifications and characterize structure-activity relationships of products under development;
  • Perform troubleshooting and evaluation of protein/antibody methods and data generated internally and by contract labs;
  • Prepares reports and recommends corrective action;
  • Utilizes advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles;
  • Plan and execute system, sub-system and component design trade studies on critical design elements;
  • Develop, review, and present programmatic information, including design, schedules, and risk identification;
  • Validation of sample preparation technologies across diverse sample types and applications;
  • Development and optimization of new sample preparation technologies;
  • Molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extractions & quantification);
  • Tissue processing for 3-D staining and imaging;
  • Collaborating with customers and partners on new products and applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical drug discovery in the areas of immunology, inflammation or autoimmunity;
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, or similar, helpful;
  • Experience in design of micro/nano fabricated devices;
  • Demonstrates success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought;
  • Design and engineering inclusive of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and/or thermal-fluid systems;
  • Experience developing assays for characterization of drug product impurities and process residuals;
  • Experience with next generation sequencing workflows and instruments;
  • Extensive expertise in mass spectrometry (MS) technologies;
  • High degree of motivation, creativity and research orientation;
  • Proficiency in standard biochemical, cellular and molecular techniques (DNA/RNA extraction and quantification);
  • Hands-on experience with chemical synthesis would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • Experienced in multi-color flow cytometry;
  • Proficient using MS Office software;
  • Completion of CITI training and confidential handling of personalized health and client information.
