Sr. Scientist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sr. Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and determine future experiments;
- Conduct scientific literature searches and maintain accurate documentation of experiments;
- Assure high quality of the analytical work performed at our company;
- Provide guidance and supervise junior research associates;
- Develop liaison relationships with external resource such as national labs and universities on sharing instrument resource and project collaboration;
- Preparation and writing of bioanalytical reports;
- Publish work or file IP in areas of advanced material characterization for material development;
- Method development, analysis, maintaining and troubleshooting of LC-MS instrumentation;
- Project planning and ensuring projects run to time frame and key milestones.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field with 1-4+ years of industry experience;
- Strong laboratory proficiency and experience with molecular techniques and concepts;
- Knowledge of NGS based workflows including target enrichment, and library preparation.
