Front Desk/Guest Service Agent Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Front Desk/Guest Service Agent to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping records of room availability and guests’ accounts. May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests;
- Computing bill for and collecting payment from guests;
- Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
Requirements:
- Ensure proper credit policies are followed. Submit all lost & found articles accompanied by a completed lost & found report;
- Complete all items on appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift;
- Monitor room availability throughout the day;
- Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner;
- Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;
- Associate may have to lift up to 50 pounds;
- Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests;
- Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor;
- Associate must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours a day;
- Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information;
- Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel;
- Associate must be able to sit in the same position for up to 8 hours a day consecutively;
- Associate must talk and hear;
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
