Front Office Receptionist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Front Office Receptionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Will assist with a wide variety of other administrative duties including but not limited to;
- Checking patients in and out for their appointments;
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries;
- Collecting copays and other monies due at the time of the visit;
- Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation;
- Schedule appointments;
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges;
- Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
- Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; providing general directions;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
- Answering phones.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Customer service oriented attitude;
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers);
- Professional attitude and appearance;
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks;
- Must have a High school degree;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise;
- Great communication skills;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Accurate data entry.
