Graphic Design Intern Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Coordinators on shot lists and provide art direction for marketing-led shoots;
- Be a resource for digital and spec design across all bream and team touchpoints;
- Conduct creative research and exploration when necessary for a project to understand brand needs and challenges fully;
- Ensure team and brand associated work and files stay in an organized and consistently categorized fashion on personal and shared drives;
- Generate job tickets to printers and vendors to obtain cost estimates for client approvals;
- Build high profile Powerpoint and Keynote presentations with animation;
- Format text and images in layouts to transform data and copy into visual concepts;
- Conceives ideas, concepts and campaigns to enhance visually all marketing media;
- Monitors and tracks projects to ensure proper and timely completion;
- Familiar with document pre-flighting and collection of allassets for digital or offset printers;
- Image specialist: photo retouching, photo collage, special effects, color correction, type effects and illustration;
- Create images that identify a product or convey a message;
- Upload high resolution pdfs files to printers and vendors servers for production and creates pdfs for broadcast via email.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of printing processes and pre-press production;
- Working knowledge of computer ad systems, laser and inkjet printers, scanners and other related equipment;
- Sense of humor;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- A portfolio of prior work examples;
- Actively working towards a degree in graphic design or visual communications;
- A positive, passionate and willing-to-learn attitude;
- Experience with the WordPress content management system;
- A thorough understanding of the ins and outs of Photoshop or Sketch;
- Ability to work independently and with a team;
- Passion for design;
- Graphic Design background in college and/or real-world experience;
- Advanced experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Sketch;
- Team Attitude-ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
- Time Management – ability to prioritize workload, meet production deadlines, especially under pressure.
