Our company is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain general purchase orders and ensuring pricing and delivery dates are being met;
  • Follow up with suppliers on backorders and confirm estimated time of arrival;
  • Purchase office supplies, janitorial supplies and other consumables for various departments;
  • Support inventory closing every month with Cost Accounting and various reports as assigned by manager;
  • Update warehouse receiving log daily and review receiving documents to match with PO’s for processing;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Ensuring that the pharmacies product formulary is being followed;
  • Create, fulfill and submit pharmaceutical orders;
  • Facilities;
  • Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors;
  • Ensure that systems are kept up to date with the most current procurement information;
  • Prepare reports to Management on freight costs both incoming and outgoing;
  • Order Entry and order maintenance;
  • Monitor goods throughout the purchasing process;
  • Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in food industry is preferred;
  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment and handle pressure well;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be a good team player and fast learner;
  • Robust Excel knowledge and ability to create documents independently;
  • Healthcare Experience Required;
  • Active NH pharmacy technician license or willingness to get license required;
  • Experience as a Pharmacy purchaser and knowledge in supply chain management;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing products and supplies;
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment;
  • Reliable;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience with data entry and filing;
  • Five years related work experience in purchasing, inventory, or distribution.
