Senior Research Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Research Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and track progress of abstracts and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals;
- Assist in identifying grant opportunities and assist with grant writing for submissions;
- Monitor and track CPC+ progress for practices, send periodic global emails;
- Assist in the preparation of academic outputs (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, etc);
- Receive, screen, log and route correspondence for CPC+
- Lead project team meetings and ensure timely completion of deliverables;
- Ability to interact in a positive and productive manner, and to work efficiently and skillfully with a variety of diverse staff;
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the State of Oregon;
- Basic understanding of the principles of aseptic technique;
- Able to lift/move equipment weighing up to 30 lbs;
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation;
- Working knowledge (6 months relevant work experience) of Microsoft Excel, Word, and graphics software;
- Assist the team in publications for peer-reviewed journals;
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive DCM/ONPRC vehicles;
- 1 to 3 years of relevant medical or surgical experience.
Requirements:
- Update current programs and address errors that arise;
- Attend meetings with staff;
- Translate data from our databases into forms that can be uploaded to national databases;
- Creating programs to organize and compile research data;
- Assist with data collection and cleaning;
- Perform literature reviews;
- Contribute to team planning to accomplish project objectives;
- Track deadlines and provide support to complete deliverables such as curriculum development, periodic reports, and weekly outreach documentation;
