Our company is looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Immunochemistry (ELISA, bio-layer interferometry, IHC, etc.);
  • Column chromatography with GE Akta systems;
  • Mammalian cell culture and cell biology;
  • SDS-PAGE, protein function/stability and enzymatic assays;
  • Conduct rodent surgeries in relevant studies;
  • Supervising associate and analyst staff on project work;
  • Experience in isolating, expanding, and banking primary human immune cells;
  • Planning and facilitating peer learning events, including webinars and cross-jurisdictional calls;
  • Ability to communicate results to supervisor and peers;
  • Prepare specialized media, and support hybridoma productions;
  • Traveling to meetings, conferences, and making site-visits, as needed;
  • Assisting in the planning and facilitation of a multi-site summit;
  • Analyzes and interprets experimental data and publishes results;
  • Manages and replies to project-related correspondence;
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with and establishing biorepository LIMS system;
  • Preferred;
  • Must have;
  • Extensive experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques including viral transduction, clonal selection, and cell line characterization;
  • Embodies the company culture of empowerment, diversity, and inclusion;
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new tasks;
  • Experience running and analyzing flow cytometry and qPCR;
  • Experience in collecting and working with administrative data, particularly data from criminal justice agencies;
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus;
  • A strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail;
  • A promising research record, including a record for successful proposal development and/or peer-reviewed publications, is a plus;
  • Substantial experience (5 years or more) conducting high-quality research in an applied research setting;
  • Experience supervising staff is preferred but not required;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
  • Expertise in performance measurement.
