Transportation Dispatcher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Transportation Dispatcher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in all aspects of pickups and deliveries and tracks shipments from start to finish;
- Dispatches and monitors the movements of the customer’s freight. Communicate via wireless tablets and/or cell phones, other devices or face to face;
- Update changes in direction, destinations, freight or other factors in case it is needed for a resolution process.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Industry experience a plus;
- Strong computer skills;
- High School or Associate’s degree;
- Excellent follow through on daily tasks and projects;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations is a play.
