Assembly Worker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assembly Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift;
- Maintain all established quantity levels and efficiencies;
- Recognize quality problems or assembly operations that are incorrect or not to control plans or boundary sample or know defects;
- Collect and record SPC information where required;
- Working around moving equipment such as conveyors and forklifts (some positions require working on a moving conveyor);
- Other duties as assigned;
- Monitor information boards for quality alerts or deviations;
- Assembling drawers and drawer slides;
- Additional manufacturing tasks as assigned;
- Inspecting the product for any errors;
- Palletizing products;
- Pay attention to details while picking and assembling items;
- Wrapping product for shipping;
- Assemble our gateway enclosures – drill small holes, connect cables between components;
- Working in a team environment to efficiently assembly product.
Requirements:
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications;
- Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem;
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift;
- Team-oriented and self-directed;
- Must be able to stand for 7 hour shifts and do repetitive wrist work;
- Production, manufacturing or warehouse experience is NOT necessary The company provides a comprehensive job training program;
- Able to work in a non-smoking campus environment;
- Must be comfortable using power-tools;
- Must be friendly and have good references and a stable work history;
- Reliable;
- Ability to stand for entire shift;
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for long periods of time;
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours as needed;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses).
