Our company is looking for a Butcher to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process meat cuts according to portions and business standards;
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are met including proper storage of meats;
  • Oversee inventory levels and quality control;
  • Maintain cutting equipment functionality;
  • Use fingers and hands; substantial hand strength;
  • Close vision, have eye-hand coordination and peripheral vision;
  • Stand in one place for extended periods of time;
  • Talk and hear;
  • Walk;
  • reach with hands and arms;
  • Use repetitive motion with hands and arms;
  • Use sense of smell.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a butcher or similar role;
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with a team to ensure success;
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils;
  • Able to work in a cold environment for long periods of time;
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays;
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions;
  • Ability to work with knives, hand tools and utensils;
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting;
  • Familiarity with BBQ pits, smoking processes, and knives;
  • Able to stand and handle hot foods for long periods of time;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management and guests;
  • Physically able to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally and up to 30 pounds of force frequently;
  • 1+ year of experience working with meat, preferably in a high-volume retail environment.
