Our company is looking for a Electronic Controls Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Zero Lost Time/Zero Recordable Incidents in Area;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and various program;
  • Support Management of Change throughout the mill. Collaborate with peers to develop KPIs around MOC implementation and effectiveness;
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting operating systems;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager;
  • Develop and maintain control logic modification process;
  • Test, inspect, and adjust control instrumentation and determine causes of instrument malfunction;
  • Coordinate the collection of SSOP, LO/TO procedures and safe work practices associate with the area and cataloging of them in appropriate system;
  • Design and develop graphical user screens utilized within human machine interfaces (HMI’s);
  • Develop and implement plans to reduce exposure to area hazards;
  • Participate in Accident/Incident Investigation;
  • Modify control system logic and industrial machinery to optimize equipment performance and control;
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instrument, electronic, and electrical equipment on the site to manufacturers specifications;
  • Perform oversight of OEM control and electrical modifications;
  • Complete required Safety Participation.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with conveyors, short cycle press systems, drying equipment, pumps, gearboxes, etc;
  • Ability to define and configure devices on network through software interface;
  • Startup/operational support experience for high volume industrial manufacturing operations;
  • Experience working with Siemens S7 PLC software and Siemens Master Drives with vector and motion control;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation;
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Operation;
  • Ability to convert PLC5 hardware and software to Control logix;
  • Control system upgrade experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of the electrical and/or instrument/control craft typically gained through considerable hands-on work experience;
  • In-depth Knowledge of Control Logix and RS Logix programming, hardware, and firmware;
  • Knowledge of the design and configuration of control systems using ControlNet, Device Net and Ethernet I/P.
