Machine Operator – 1st Shift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Machine Operator – 1st Shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety procedures and attend all scheduled safety training;
- Performs other work duties, as assigned;
- Follows quality and safety standards;
- You ll check the quality of the part, trim the part and stack;
- You ll load sheets of plastic into your machine and monitor the cycle;
- Responsible for the set up and breakdown of the machine and materials;
- Keeps area clean and organized;
- Maintain clean work area and machines;
- Ensures the product meets all quality control standards;
- You will shadow a person for a few days to learn the process.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing;
- Standing, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., kneeling;
- Ability to correct understanding of routine aspects of work;
- Have the ability to work overtime as needed to cover production needs;
- Stand/walk continuously & perform repetitive hand work, including gripping, for an 8 hour shift;
- Supports new ideas and helps to implement them;
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Repetitive motions Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers;
- ERP/MRP (preferred);
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
- Reports any problems, deviation, or quality concerns to a lead/supervisor;
- 0-2 years related machining experience, education and/or training;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Safely perform all duties and encourage safe practices of others;
- Knowledgeable about existing policies, practices and procedures.
