Manufacturing Quality Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support Quality Clinic Activity;
- Serve as the focal for addressing manufacturing Quality Engineering issues related to non-conforming hardware;
- Perform and support audits and inspections;
- Conduct relentless root cause investigation for internal and external escapes;
- Process and track zero hour return units form customers through the manufacturing process;
- Perform over inspection of aerospace hardware;
- Complete Configuration Management documentation, PPAP and other quality data packages;
- Serve as the lead for the Operations Calibration Program;
- Use statically analysis tools for problem solving;
- Review rework and repair instructions and completed work;
- Complete Quality Inspection Plans;
- Review and recommend changes to Quality documentation;
- Perform over check visual inspections;
- Review Quality Notices for proper completion;
- Serve as the backup Quality Clinic lead.
Requirements:
- 3 years Quality experience is preferred;
- Previous Manufacturing/Operations experience is preferred;
- SAP experience preferred;
- US Citizen is required;
- In the absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required;
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience;
- Previous Supplier Quality experience preferred;
- BS/BA in Engineering or a technical field preferred;
- 5+ years experience in quality field in a medical device or similarly regulated industry;
- Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis skills;
- Effective presentation/communication skills, project/resource management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines;
- Experience with software and software/hardware development within a regulated industry;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Experience with internal and external audits desirable.
