Owner Operator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Owner Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Check in with dispatcher with trip updates;
- Arrive to all predetermined destinations on time;
- Manage the loading and unloading of the cargo;
- Complete a pre-trip inspection of all equipment;
- Must comply with all D.O.T. regulations and laws.
Requirements:
- No serious accidents or tickets within the last 5 years;
- Current operating permit;
- HazMat preferred;
- 26’ to 28’ bobtail with liftgate and pallet jack in full operating condition;
- CDL in good standing;
- Cell phone with text and email capabilities;
- 3 years of OTR experience;
- No moving or driving violations within the last 5 years;
- Valid EIN (Employer Identification Number);
- No DWI/DUI within the last 8 years;
- Current $50,000 Cargo coverage;
- Must own a truck (trailer is optional);
- Current driver’s license (Class B preferred);
- Current liability insurance coverage (minimum $750,000 Combined Single Limit coverage);
- Ability to read and speak operational English.
