Commercial Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Commercial Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with all store associates, management, and customers;
- Load and unload product on the delivery truck by hand, hand truck, or dolly;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Ensure all delivery loads are stacked, padded, and properly secured.
Requirements:
- Ability to read instructions, policies, procedures, bills of lading, and product descriptions and complete forms (write);
- Successful completion of drug and background tests;
- Valid driver’s license without any DUI’s;
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- In good physical condition with a good work ethic;
- Good DMV record;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Must have HazMat and Tanker endorsements;
- Must have a Class A / B license;
- Must have at least 5 years driving experience.
