Performance Test Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in department- and company-level quality improvement initiatives;
- Applies and upholds software QA methodologies and standards;
- Training, mentoring and coaching junior Automation team analysts; offering guidance on best practices and department processes.
Requirements:
- Deadline and closure oriented;
- Experience with both mobile/embedded and web-based testing methodologies and tools;
- Develop test execution scenarios for various types of tests such as load, stress, duration/endurance, and run tests;
- Evaluate Technical documents and identify performance test needs; types of tests, scripting scenarios, and volume projections as required;
- Experience with Jira tools and SCRUM methodologies;
- Strong persuasion, facilitation and influencing skills;
- Must have hands-on software development experience to be able to review C++ and C# code;
- Develop test scripts and load projections needed to simulate virtual users;
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture;
- Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills;
- Embedded application testing experience required;
- Self-driven;
- Web / Cloud level testing experience required;
- 10+ years of Testing experience;
- Independent self-starter capable of establishing priorities, managing time, meeting deadlines, and working well within a larger team.
