Our company is looking for a QA Performance Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses LoadRunner, MS Test Manager and custom C scripting to record and execute scripts;
  • Review existing manual tests and analyze where Performance testing will provide maximum ROI;
  • Work closely with QA engineers, developers, architects and DBA’s to create meaningful Performance tests;
  • Fosters a collaborative work environment encompassing all phases of software development;
  • Write Performance test cases, plans, scripts and test harnesses as required;
  • Coordinate and manage all testing activities assigned by the Performance & Automation Team Lead;
  • Conduct test case reviews with peers, Software Engineers and Development Managers;
  • Maintains and updates the Performance test strategy;
  • Report issues via defect tracking application and coordinates with developers and Project Managers on resolution;
  • This includes task planning & estimation, status reporting, metrics collection, developing test summaries & risk analyses;
  • Participate in business & technical requirement reviews for assigned projects;
  • Verify that software and applications perform according to specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manual software testing;
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail;
  • Certification preferred, but not required (CSQA, CSTE, CSQE, CTM, CSTP, etc.);
  • Creative and effective problem solving skills;
  • Motivated, self-starter;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience testing applications using Hewlett-Packard/Mercury testing tools (LoadRunner, Quick Test Professional, Quality Center);
  • Collaborative/enjoys working in teams;
  • Effective in fast paced environment;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle, query building and data extraction tools;
  • First-hand experience with a wide variety of LoadRunner protocols, such as Adobe Flex/RIA, COM/DCOM, and Web (
  • Proven experience Programming / Scripting (C, C#, JavaScript, VBScript);
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Recent Performance Testing experience, with primary job function as Performance testing.
