Our company is looking for a Pipe Welder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Thread pipes using threading machines and assemble and install a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes and fittings using the threading method;
- Measure pipe routings and fabricate them to fit existing in-line piping systems;
- Clean, prepare and install pipes with various fittings and weld joints according to standardized protocols;
- Remove slag and rough spots by operating portable grinders or scrapers, to ensure smooth work surfaces;
- Lay out, assemble, and install pipe systems;
- Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment;
- Apply various MIG welding techniques;
- Stand for extended periods;
- Perform welding work involving a high degree of precision;
- Follow blueprints;
- Aluminum, Copper Nickel (CUNI) and Stainless Steel pipe material;
- Possess welding skills proficient in piping applications in a 6G position;
- Complex schematic and blueprint interpretation;
- MIG (gmaw) & TIG (gtaw) welding processes;
- Must have personal basic tools required to accomplish general tasks.
Requirements:
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Drug free at all times;
- Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from qualified Journeyman Welder;
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment;
- Lay out, assemble, and install pipe systems;
- Codes & standards: asme b31.9, aws b2.1-1-201;
- Perform pipe welding processes and procedure for shop and field installation fabrication while assisting pipe installation functions;
- Must have personal basic tools required to accomplish general tasks;
- MATERIALS / Grades WELDED : Sch. 40 Carbon Steel;
- Must pass a written and/or practical skills test;
- Aluminum, Copper Nickel (CUNI) and Stainless Steel pipe material;
- Complex schematic and blueprint interpretation;
- Read and interpret basic drawings and weld symbols for fabrication of piping systems;
- Pass Nash WPS performance testing SMAW weld test procedures on carbon piping materials;
- MIG (gmaw) & TIG (gtaw) welding processes.
