Our company is looking for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Agreement Process Area—Acquisition and Supply;
  • Management of requirements, include decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation;
  • Performing detailed data analysis and trending;
  • Utilizing a variety of tools to support engineering activities and anomalies;
  • Presenting findings to peers, customers, and management;
  • Identifying and implementing new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency;
  • Elicits, documents and maintains equirements, concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of system integrations;
  • Requirements database development, management, and maintenance (e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody);
  • Some travel may be required to support customer milestone meetings and perform testing and safety analyses;
  • Identify the software portions of systems for safety and mission critical functionality;
  • Creating, reviewing, and maintaining critical system documentation;
  • Supports system testing and collaborates with customers to derive test and production connectivity requirements;
  • Identify and define requirements, design, and test procedures that will ensure the system will perform as expected;
  • Interact effectively with senior level customers, including development of customer presentations, schedules, and risk/action item tracking;
  • Document analysis performed.

Requirements:

  • Process oriented;
  • Experience with the architecture and design of COTS Infrastructure (IT);
  • Ability to prepare and present status, plans, and risks to management;
  • Background in COTS product Installation;
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration;
  • General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization;
  • Prefer candidate with active clearance;
  • Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.);
  • Experience in designing private cloud architectures, especially in the area of compute servers;
  • Proficient working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization (VMware);
  • Experience with DISA STIGs;
  • Experience with agile development methodologies;
  • The ability to effectively plan their own work up and the work of others on the team;
  • US Citizenship and an Active U.S. Security Clearance (DOD Secret) is required as of day one of employment.
