Our company is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Will have the opportunity to identify an area of improvement within the organization and hold an event to solve the problem;
  • Responsible for supporting quality system, product, or technical process audits;
  • Will be assigned multiple suppliers to manage quality activity and will have multiple product lines;
  • Daily management of all supplier quality related issues with cross-functional team alignment;
  • On-site supplier visits and quality audits to ensure compliance;
  • Audit vendor progress as needed;
  • All other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications/Requirements;
  • Facilitate Supplier’s RCCA investigations;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis;
  • Drive projects that improve quality metrics: FPY (first pass yield), first year warranty spend, first year PPM;
  • Improve supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers via Quality Plan implementation;
  • Support the Quality Review Board Passport process;
  • Assure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers in compliance with the CAPA process;
  • Results in improved manufacturing/supplier quality;
  • Value engineering.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years prior experience working with overseas vendors;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Ability to assess issues and determine root cause;
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from four-year college or university in Engineering or related field;
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a supplier quality engineer;
  • Ability to understand and implement Production Part Approval Process (PPAP);
  • College degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering;
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts;
  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner;
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement;
  • Ability to travel as needed;
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese;
  • Experience working with electronics to include printed circuit boards and embedded systems;
  • A strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities;
  • Bachelor’s degree.
