Our company is looking for a Distribution Center Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to learn MRC, federal, health and safety regulations;
  • Basic math and good reading skills;
  • Typing and basic computer skills;
  • Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are required. Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly;
  • Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspecting material for minimum MRC quality requirements;
  • Adhere to required safety policies, guidelines and training;
  • Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately;
  • Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air Shipments;
  • Mark material with correct identifying information;
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer safety policies;
  • Receive, check in, and unload in-bound merchandise manually or by forklift;
  • Read work order, shipping order, and requisition or follows verbal instructions to determine items to be;
  • Stack merchandise as it is received and process for storage then place product in assigned storage area;
  • Select out-bound freight, palletize, shrink wrap, and load onto trailers manually or by forklift;
  • Completes required shipping and receiving documents.

Requirements:

  • Able to meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required;
  • Able to work in a team environment;
  • Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment;
  • Able to do continuous lifting up to 75 pounds and be able to operate warehouse vehicles (PIE, etc.) and material handling equipment;
  • Should have the ability to work in a team;
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer word processing, spreadsheet and Email management;
  • Should possess time management skills and be able to meet targets;
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in both a hot and cold warehouse environment;
  • Experience in operating basic warehouse equipment;
  • Must speak, read, and write English at a level required for satisfactory performance;
  • Must be able to work alone or as part of a team to contribute to the overall goals of the department;
  • Ability to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes/boots and gloves;
  • Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balanced are required;
  • Basic math and good reading skills;
  • Typing and basic computer skills.
