Our company is looking for a Financial Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates easy-to-use, accurate and informative monthly financial reports for client departments to enable fiscal management and decision-making;
  • Advises department head and other key personnel regularly on financial status and any areas of concern;
  • Performs the accounts payable functions for a diverse set of clients, processing invoices, journal vouchers and purchasing card transactions;
  • Provides exceptional customer service to client departments with high quality work and rapid turnaround time;
  • Initiates accounts receivable invoices to external and internal customers to collect revenue on behalf of clients;
  • Assist month-end close of general ledger;
  • Prepare weekly estimated income statement and narrative to News Corp Finance and the NY Post Executive Management team;
  • Other ad-hoc projects and analyses (as necessary);
  • Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly advertising revenue reports to Sales management, NY Post Executive management and News Corp. Finance;
  • Work with the Director of Billing on monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Support the income statement and cash flow consolidation of the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts and monthly close;
  • Prepare pre-closing reviews of results prior to review by senior finance team management.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience require with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Strong Excel skills;
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft, SalesForce and Hyperion (a Plus).
