Parts Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Parts Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Verifying inventory is barcoded and Karmak is updated upon any changes;
- Remove and restock all unused parts from repair orders;
- In a safe and timely manner, perform parts runs in company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver parts;
- Adhering to the established process for daily shipping and receiving of all incoming and outbound freight;
- Maintain a warranty / defective parts location;
- Efficiently assist technicians in getting the correct parts for their job;
- Locate items from the warehouse and apply pulled parts to the correct repair order;
- Pull and package items on a return to vendor pick lists;
- Inform Parts Manager of parts needed for stock and for upcoming jobs as well as any discrepancies in inventory quantities;
- Put parts away, shipping & receiving;
- Taking part orders;
- Some Warehouse work;
- Shipping/Receiving;
- Help technicians at the shop counter;
- Deliver parts to outside wholesale repair shops.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test;
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Minimum of one years of warehouse and parts experience;
- Proficient computer skills;
- Willingness to learn the Ford catalogue;
- Great customer service skills;
- Have a valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of parts;
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment;
- Experience in Shipping/Receiving;
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
