Postdoctoral Researcher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare manuscripts, and present research findings as abstracts or oral presentations (travel may be required);
- Attend research related meetings including but not limited to Thursday PM SPORE seminars, Cancer Biology meetings, journal clubs;
- Stay on top of the literature and build skills to maximize the projects’ potential;
- Work closely with the external researchers on the project and with undergraduate and graduate students at ASU ;
- Maintain data for the project organized and submit data to online repositories when appropriate and in a timely manner;
- Lead data collection, analysis, and integration;
- Lead presentation of the work at scientific conferences and write manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals;
- Think independently and problem solve. Stay on top of the literature and build skills to maximize the projects’ potential;
- Duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience working with nonhuman primates;
- Three years of experience using major statistical packages such as SAS, Mplus, or R as evidenced in application materials;
- A cover letter detailing the candidates experience relevant to the position and career goals,
- Working knowledge of computer software for data storage and analyses, graphics and presentations;
- Background in neuroscience or related;
- Demonstrated interest in self-determination assessment and research;
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation;
- Ability to work independently and in a team effort in a collegial, productive manner;
- Ph.D in biological, engineering, or other related science field;

- Excellent manual and intellectual skills to accurately perform research techniques;

- One year of experience with supporting the development of IES and NIH grants;
