Our company is looking for a Postdoctoral Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and execute research projects independently;
  • Help to train, supervise, and mentor junior staff as needed;
  • Report progress and track deliverables for internal and external collaborators;
  • Stay current on the field and think deeply about creative new ways to have an impact;
  • Contribute to the lab through teamwork and discussion;
  • Maintenance of a laboratory notebook and digital records in accordance with Institute guidelines;
  • Literature searching for relevant information needed to conduct and interpret experiments, and the preparation of summaries of experimental results;
  • Planning and execution of experiments;
  • Documentation and statistical analyses of quantitative instrumental data.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding writing and communication skills, with an ability to work both independently and within collaborative teams productively;
  • Animal handling and brain histology;
  • PhD in relevant field (immunology, cancer biology, or similar);
  • Genuine enthusiasm for basic biological research;
  • Demonstrated scientific contributions to the field;
  • MD; or PhD in genetics, computational biology, molecular/cell biology, or other quantitative science;
  • Track record of productivity supported by first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals;
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and analyze an independent research project; and;
  • A recently obtained Ph.D. or M.D. in Genomics, Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, or a related field;
  • Working knowledge of cutting-edge cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques;
  • Outstanding clarity of thought in communications (written and oral);
  • Expertise with mouse genetics, computer programming, and large-scale data analysis strongly desired, but not required;
  • Expertise in computational/bioinformatics approaches to biological problems;
  • Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related fields;
  • Proven ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems.
