Postdoctoral Research Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design data collection tools for evaluation purposes;
- Collect and analyze research data related to evaluation;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients so they are engaged throughout the evaluation process;
- Prepare a range of communication tools to assist in disseminating findings and maximize evaluation use;
- Writes manuscripts of completed work;
- Contribute intellectually to scientific goals;
- Generates scientific hypotheses and conducts data analysis from start to finish;
- Works independently with minimal supervision;
- special training workshops in research methods and statistics;
- Establish and implement randomization to treatment arms;
- Oversee and organize all aspects of STI testing for the research study including testing, notification, referral, and reporting;
- participation in NYU graduate/faculty seminars, and;
- collaboration with senior and junior members of the research team and cross-institutional networking,
- Work on NIH funded projects related to cannabis, opioid use, pain, alcohol, and health research.
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of core health science concepts;
- Ideal candidate must be motivated, has excellent written/oral communication skills, a strong desire and ability to work in a collaborative environment;
- Requires a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical sciences;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Outstanding empirical writing skill;
- Candidates who have research experience in animal models , muscle biology /physiology would be preferred;
- Ability to work collaboratively with study staff, postdoctoral researchers, undergraduates, principle investigators, and other laboratories;
- Highly proficient in R, SAS, or comparable statistical software;
