Our company is looking for a OTR Class A Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre/post inspections and properly log any defects;
  • Count the number of load pieces, and make sure that they tally with delivery orders;
  • Drive delivery vehicle (vans or trucks) on preset routes within the city and intercity routes;
  • Properly log hours and inspections in provided software;
  • Assist in loading the delivery vehicle and ensure that fragile loads are stacked/loaded safely;
  • Confirm that all documents are complete with each load and proper delivery address information is visible;
  • Set GPS system to navigate routes to provided addresses or use maps to determine address locations;
  • Check each load to ensure that it is appropriately and safely packed;
  • Look for specific markings (such as fragile) to determine how the container will be transported;
  • Secure the area which holds packages to be delivered to make sure that nothing falls out;
  • Arrive at destinations on time and ensure that the load is being delivered to the right recipient by verifying the identity/location;
  • Confirm that delivery vehicle is periodically cleaned and maintained and ready for continuous loads;
  • Communicate with the office to provide delivery status information;
  • Confirm that signatures are obtained on receipts and that invoices are handed over to the recipients.

Requirements:

  • Drivers are expected to comply with appearance guidelines;
  • Ability to pass DOT Physical Exam or currently hold DOT Medical Card;
  • Must have a valid CDL Class A issued in the state that they live in good standing;
  • Ability to lift/pull/push heavy materials if required;
  • Must have excellent customer communication and driving skills.
