This travel RN opportunity requires current California licensure and ER/acute care nursing experience. The assignment is a temporary travel position through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Start date: 10/12/2026

Responsibilities Deliver direct, age-appropriate nursing care for patients in the emergency department according to the nursing process and established standards.

Collect, interpret, and document relevant data to support timely assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.

Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate care delivery with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and outcomes.

Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust plans as needed; participate in discharge planning and referrals.

Supervise and direct activities of other nursing staff at varying levels; delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining patient safety and care continuity.

Educate patients and families, provide treatment information, and support learning throughout the care journey.

Requirements Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure in the state of practice (California). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification acceptable per facility policy.

Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; acute/ER or high-acuity inpatient background preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Ability to work the listed setting and schedule (night shifts on a 3x12 block); ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an urgent, high-acuity environment.
