2nd Shift Cook Assistant

The primary functions of this position are to clean, set up and assemble kitchen equipment, form batches of filling, shred cheese, chill filling, complete appropriate documentation as needed, and ensure filling is being produced in a timely manner for production. The cook assistant will need to be HACCP trained and document HACCP times and temperatures, as well as assist with inventories and housekeeping duties

Obtain pallets of cheese blocks from cooler, transport to grinding station and manually cut cheese blocks into sections

Report to assigned workstation and obtain tools, check equipment and check recipe as required

Obtain work schedule, obtain paperwork and prepare for operations

At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork

Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required for the job.

Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
