Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry - Full Time - Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry – Full-time, 7A Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 7a – 7p shift.

Department Highlights 28-bed Telemetry Department providing telemetry and Med/Surg level of care for general medical/surgical, endocrine, GI/renal patient population ages adult to geriatric.

5:1 patient to nurse ratio on days and nights (working 12-hour shifts).

Magnet facility, Level III Trauma Center.

Self‑scheduling to support work/life balance.

Required Qualifications Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) before independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training within 90 days of hire.

1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program.

Current telemetry experience preferred; will consider Med/Surg experience.

Demonstrate high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in fast‑paced environment.

Understanding of basic human needs and patient affiliations.

What You Will Do Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate effectiveness.

Incorporate age‑specific safety and infection control measures.

Initiate actions to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information.

Maintain continuity of patient care across inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and out‑of‑hospital transfers.
