Unit Summary

D3 is a 30 bed surgical unit caring for both medical-surgical and intermediate level of care patients. We care for adult, acute care patients, with a wide variety of diagnosis and co-morbidities, providing comprehensive care according to the scope of care defined by the organization and Massachusetts state regulations. D3 is also the primary surgical floor, except for orthopedics. Our surgical patients include: Bariatrics, General, Gyn, Urology, Plastics, Vascular, etc. Our medical patients include: stroke, renal, pneumonia, alcohol withdrawal, drug withdrawal, cellulitis, etc.

Hours: 36 hours per week, Every Third Weekend

Qualifications

A minimum of 1-2 years in telemetry or intermediate care setting is preferred

Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing are required

BSN is strongly preferred

Associate's degree in nursing may be considered. Must enroll in BSN within year

BLS required

ACLS preferred
