Would you be a great Journeyman Lineman?

To excel as a Journeyman Lineman at Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, you should possess a robust skill set and relevant qualifications that align with our operational needs. A minimum of five years’ experience in electrical power distribution is essential, with a preference for candidates who have worked in rural Alaska due to the unique challenges of the environment. You must hold a Journeyman Power Lineman certification from the State of Alaska and have successfully completed a lineman apprenticeship program, demonstrating both your technical prowess and commitment to the craft. Additionally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license.

Proficiency in using specialized tools and software related to electric utility work is also necessary, allowing you to efficiently respond to operational issues and ensure the smooth functioning of our distribution systems.
