Radiographer II - Edmond
The Radiographer II is an experienced professional who, under general supervision, performs routine Diagnostic X‑Ray examinations with increased independence, using fixed and/or portable equipment in accordance with established protocols, safety guidelines and quality standards. Utilizes advanced skill set and knowledge to perform diagnostic imaging on patients as ordered by a care provider in routine or emergent conditions under limited supervision.

Ensures testing is performed safely and with the highest quality standards, maintaining a consistent focus on patient‑centric care.

Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician‑ordered exams to support appropriate imaging.

Responds to inquiries from patients and family members, provides clear information regarding diagnostic testing and expected result timelines.

Collaborates with team members across OU Health including providers to provide exceptional patient care.

Conducts post‑testing quality reviews without assistance to confirm that all required elements are completed, documented and align with departmental and accreditation standards.

Accurately documents in EMR/PACS per organizational policies and procedures.

Transfers images and data to the appropriate electronic health system, enters technical data and findings, and prepares study for reporting by physician.

Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.

Ensures that technical quality of performed testing meets established protocols and applicable accreditation standards.

Serves as a departmental preceptor to provide instruction and mentorship to new or less experienced team members and assists with onboarding of new team members.

Supports OU Health's academic partnerships by actively engaging in teaching of students in the radiologic program.

Assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.

May provide on‑call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.

Associate's degree from an accredited imaging/radiology program as defined by ARRT.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Radiographer required.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) and ARRT (RT) Certification required at hire.

Ability and skill to apply core‑level primary specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post‑process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation with limited supervision or assistance.

Knowledge of imaging and Diagnostic X‑Ray policies, procedures, techniques, and processes.

Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served.

Ability to work and solve problems with limited supervision.
