Shift: Day Flex (United States of America)
Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. In this role, you will navigate through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history, and obtain pre-certification and authorization. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Hours will vary as needed from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Must be willing to travel/provide coverage to Ortho department sites below and to help cover the other Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed.

Preferred Criteria Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
Experience working in a busy out-patient practice.
Orthopedics or Radiology experience.
Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
EMR experience/EPIC
Required Criteria 1+ year of clerical experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Effective communication skills verbal and written.
Superior Customer Service skills.
Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
