Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Float Pool
Schedule: 36 Hours, Day/Night rotation
About the Unit: The Med/Surge Float RNs provide 24/7 clinical excellence for med/surge areas. Float pool nurses care for medical and surgical adult populations. Working in the float pool hones your med-surge skills and provides a clinical overview that is unparalleled in any other med/surge area.
Job Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Job Requirements: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
1+ years of RN experience preferred
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required in certain units
Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language a plus

Compensation Range: $39.02 - $90.05
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
