CNC Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing - Weekend Shift

If you value predictable scheduling, hands-on problem solving, and opportunities to work additional hours when available, this role offers a stable and rewarding long-term career.Consistent workloads and set schedules that support planning and work-life balanceOvertime is not guaranteed, but is often available, based on workload and business needsOvertime opportunities are primarily before or after scheduled shifts, with some weekend overtime depending on workloadA family-friendly, team-oriented workplace with a steady flow of workA long-standing aerospace company with decades of experience and a strong futureA multi-generational team that values craftsmanship, mentorship, and mutual respectModern CNC equipment paired with proven, well-established processesMeaningful work that directly supports safe and reliable aircraft operationsA respectful workplace that reflects and supports the communities we serveSet up and operate CNC mills and lathes (Okuma, Mazak, DMG Mori), performing trial runs and adjustments to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.Interpret blueprints, drawings, travelers, operation sheets, and technical documentation to determine tooling, setups, tolerances, and machining sequences.Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, materials, and accessories required for each operation.Monitor CNC/DNC programs and machining processes, making real-time adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional compliance.Inspect in-process and finished parts using calibrated measurement tools to verify conformance to customer and quality requirements.Ensure proper use, care, documentation, and timely return of calibrated instruments in accordance with calibration schedules.Accurately complete travelers and shop floor system documentation to maintain traceability, accountability, and quality records.Collaborate with engineers, programmers, inspectors, and production team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.Handle all components carefully to protect part integrity and ensure a safe working environment.Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.Support additional shop or team duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines in an aerospace, precision manufacturing, or similarly regulated environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.Experience machining complex aerospace components, such as turbine engine parts.Experience with CAD/CAM software.Ongoing exposure to advanced CNC platforms and complex repair workOpportunities to expand machining, inspection, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge sharing and informal mentorship from experienced machinists and engineersLong-term skill development within aerospace manufacturingAbility to stand and move throughout the workday, with frequent walking and use of hands and arms.Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or stooping.Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance (such as a hoist).Visual capability for close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to support qualified individuals in performing essential job functions safely.Background checkAlcohol and drug screeningWe welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
