Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Rover Patrol in West Nyack, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. This role blends routine patrols, customer service, and clear communication, all while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative culture and commitment to teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and sharing information through appropriate channels.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.

Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to site contacts when appropriate.

Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd and line management during busy periods, and helping with security-related responses to alarms and customer service needs.

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
