Experienced Flux Core Welders NeededWe are now accepting resumes/applications for experienced Flux Core welders for the Houma, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:Job ScopeMaintenance on equipment and basketsRequired SkillsMust have Flux Core welding and fabricating experienceMust be able to weld in various positionsMust be able to read and understand blueprint drawings.Excellent math skills with ability to efficiently read a tape measureExcellent problem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsDemonstrate strong work ethicDemonstrate consistency in quality of workDuties/ResponsibilitiesMay layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe or templatesPositions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand toolsClamps, holds, tack-welds, grinds, and bolts components to position for welding.Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.Operates cutting equipment including torches and various power and hand toolsRemove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.Safely operates iron worker, grinders, overhead cranes, rigging, pipe threading machine, welding machine, and various pneumatic hand toolsAssembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with minimal supervisionPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 LBSMust be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.Ability to work in varying hot and cold environmentsAbility to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when requiredAbility to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockDocuments RequiredDriver's License/Identification CardSocial Security Card/Birth CertificateMust be able to pass a drug test.
