Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

Operations Manager – Oil & Gas / Midstream Midland, TX

Compensation: $125,000-160,000

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to manage crews, contractors, schedules, safety, and costs at the workface.

Job Duties Lead rotating foremen, contract labor crews, and core contractors

Manage field schedules, work assignments, quality, progress, and safety

Evaluate and select contractors and vendors

Lead pre-job safety meetings and reinforce Stop-Work Authority

Provide field leadership during tie-ins, commissioning, and start-up

Coordinate schedules and SIMOPS de-confliction

Manage operating budgets, cost tracking, daily reporting, and invoicing controls

Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements

Apply Management of Change (MOC) to scope, procedure, and material changes

Qualification 7+ years of oil & gas, midstream, or major-hazard operations experience

3+ years supervising field crews and/or contractors

Experience owning construction or operational scopes from planning through turnover

Strong contractor management, budget ownership, and cost-control experience

Working knowledge of ASME B31.8, DOT/PHMSA, and OSHA

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and executive leadership

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required
