HR/Recruiting Generalist

Human Resources Specialist Provides support to all functional areas within the Human Resources Department with a primary responsibility of administering employee leave benefits.
Responsibilities Responsible for the administration of all employee leave benefits.
Administers benefits of the adjunct faculty collective bargaining agreement.
Processes airline reservations for employees traveling on College business; completes billing for employee air travel.
Monitors earning limits of employees that are SURS annuitants to ensure compliance with state law.
Assists in the recruitment of personnel by posting jobs in the applicant tracking system, placement of advertising requests, serving as ex-officio member on search committees, and attending job fairs on/off campus.
Assists in the drafting, development, and maintenance of employee job descriptions.
Develops and maintains the employee directory.
Updates and maintains the Human Resources webpage and portal.
Assists in drafting the monthly Human Resources Report.
Provides support to all functions of the department including: recruitment, benefits, and compliance.
Assists with special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience: Six months of previous work experience in an office setting.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of state and federal employment laws; proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team; accurate with attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary of $42,234 with full benefits package.
Employment Conditions Official transcripts required prior to employment. Recommended candidates for hire will be subject to pre‑employment screenings.
