As an Estimator at Ritsema Associates, you will prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. You will analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to ensure accurate estimates. Additionally, you will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for estimates and identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.

Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy.

Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine best value.

Stay informed on material pricing, industry trends, and construction methods.

Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather project details.

Support estimating and project teams with pricing and planning.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Complete additional tasks as assigned to support project success.

Maintain organized project files, documentation, and estimate records.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Willingness to learn flooring and drywall estimating.

Experience in construction estimating or a related field.

Familiarity with estimating software and digital takeoff tools.

Knowledge of flooring and/or drywall installation methods.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.

Occasionally lift or move office supplies or equipment up to 25 lbs.

Perform repetitive tasks such as typing, filing, and using office equipment.
