Bookkeeper (Finance)

Bookkeeper - Full Charge based in Virginia Beach, VA (Oceanfront). The opportunity focuses on bookkeeping, payroll, and finance management with some administrative and executive support duties.
Keep the books and perform payroll activities.
Prepare presentations, proof papers, plan minor projects, and track progress of assigned projects.
Handle bookkeeping using spreadsheet programs and QuickBooks.
Note taking, scheduling, maintaining multiple calendars, report writing, and email communications.
Plan travel, logistics, and events; Office management duties as needed, including running errands and tidying office areas to enhance the overall office experience.
Physical duties typical for an office role (walking, standing, sitting, operating equipment, lifting, moving, and light carrying) and fast typing.
Proficiency with computers and software (Internet/web apps)
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
Bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks or equivalent software
Experience with payroll and benefits administration
Experience with employer required filings and taxes (not corporate income tax)
Experience using Apple productivity apps (Mac-friendly)
Experience with shipping (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
Experience booking travel
Several positive personal or professional references
