Paralegal - Labor Law

Job Description National law firm has an outstanding opportunity for a litigation/labor and employment Paralegal in our Troy office. Prepare a variety of legal documents for which knowledge of legal terminology, civil procedure, and discovery is required.

Format briefs, pleadings and other legal documents with a demonstrated ability to file legal documents both traditionally and by electronic filing.

Prepare documents and exhibits for depositions and hearings as well as maintain organized electronic case files and documentation to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

Manage all aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including the collection, review and analysis of documents; stay current on changes in litigation requirements.

Provide case management assistance and tracking of cases.

Maintain client confidence by keeping attorney/client information confidential.

Possess excellent proofreading, grammar, and editing skills.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience with the following software programs preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Professional. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:

• 5-7 years of Litigation and Labor & Employment legal support.
