This role leads construction projects from initial planning through final completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while meeting all quality and contractual requirements. The Project Manager develops and maintains project schedules, budgets, and cost controls, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and oversees all aspects of project execution. Manage construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, including detailed three-week look-ahead schedules in coordination with field teams.

Establish, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to ensure financial performance and profitability.

Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to drive project success and resolve issues.

Lead subcontractor procurement and buyout activities, including solicitation, evaluation, selection, and contract administration.

Monitor project progress regularly and proactively identify and resolve schedule delays, budget variances, and operational risks.

Review and manage project financials, including job costing, forecasting, and financial reporting to stakeholders.

Ensure strict compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.

Oversee the procurement and management of project materials, equipment, and other resources necessary to support field operations.

Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation such as schedules of values, payment applications, change orders, and project reports.

Facilitate client and stakeholder meetings, provide clear project updates, and maintain strong, professional relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Support estimating, budgeting, and preconstruction efforts, including reviewing plans and specifications and contributing to project proposals.

Collaborate with field teams to ensure work is executed according to plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in project delivery by identifying lessons learned and implementing best practices across projects.

5+ years of construction project management experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Science, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience managing federal construction projects strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles and practices.
• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams on active job sites.
• Knowledge of federal contracting requirements, project documentation standards, and payment processes.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling practices, and overall project delivery processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Procore and Microsoft Project.

Experience working on both federal and commercial construction projects.

Familiarity with developing and managing three-week look-ahead schedules in coordination with field operations.

Experience preparing and managing project documentation, including schedules of values, payment applications, change orders, and reports.

Ability to build long-term client relationships and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a Contract position based out of Glenview, IL.
